Japan Day 3

I went to Tokyo Disney because… honestly, why not? Who wouldn’t?
It was an easy, short train ride from my hotel, which already put it ahead of the game. Tickets were around $65—a great price. According to the internet (always a trustworthy source), it’s actually cheaper to fly to Tokyo and visit this Disneyland than to go to Orlando.
One thing that surprised me was the size. It felt smaller than Anaheim, and I had expected everything outside the U.S. to be bigger. Still, it was beautifully designed and incredibly efficient.
I went on the Beauty and the Beast experience, which was absolutely worth it—but the line was long. If you have a FastPass, this is the ride to use it on.
Food-wise, Tokyo Disney feels very different from Anaheim. You can get ramen and beer in the park, which honestly felt surreal. The ramen line was massive, so I pivoted and got a giant serving of gyoza instead. No regrets.
I was a little sad there’s no Space Mountain, but Thunder Mountain more than made up for it. The ride itself was great, and the queue has some amazing views overlooking the lake and the steamboat, which made the wait feel shorter.
At some point, I realized I had messed up my hotel booking—I meant to extend my stay, and they had been trying to reach me. I ended up leaving the park to sort that out.
I wanted to come back for the night show, but the idea of waiting seven hours didn’t sound appealing. So instead, I called it a day and went back to the bar—arguably the most magical choice of all.
